Daily Duties at Owner Partner:
Operated a commercial HVAC construction company, specializing in sheet metal fabrication and installation. Specialized in telecommunication industry HVAC systems. Customers included Qwest and AT&T. Employed 5-10 workers. Solely responsible for day-to-day organizational activities including project management, estimating & bidding, contract negotiations, buying equipment, inventory, planning, staffing and programming the plasma table. Worked closely with partner in charge of shop fabrication, and scheduling. Largest job contracted was $610,000+. Achievements: Implemented improvements made to shop fabrication and administration activities. Results: Achieved net profit of 14% on sales of 1.2M in 2000 and 16% on sales of 1M in 2001. Because of a deep, multi-year recession in the telecom industry, a decision was made at the beginning of 2004 by the partners to finish the remaining contracts and close the business.
