Daily Duties at Kimball Internations:
Production management for a stand alone cell geared to manufacturing metal office systems as part of an overall commercial systems offering. Provide leadership and lean manufacturing guidance for 50-60 individuals, including oversight of manufacturing staffing size, process engineering, buying, and planning. Certified Lean Leader with extensive knowledge of lean tools, including 5S, kaizen events, time observation, kanban, and more. Production responsibilities include staffing, leadership development system, A3 problem solving, product quality, value stream mapping, production targets, 3P project management, budgeting, and facilitating a culture of continuous improvement and problem solving. During my 1st year, I was a project leader over a process improvement that saved the company 101,000 dollars the first year. Prior to roll as cell manager, worked as an applications engineer developing costing for custom metal office furniture for OEM accounts.
