Daily Duties at Focus Enhancements:

Worked in a mixed design team of RF and digital design engineers developing a UWB wireless chipset targeting the video and wireless USB markets. • Designed the transmit sequencer block for a UWB MAC. • Implemented a multi-layer AMBA bus architecture that included memory interface and mappings, USB and PCI integration and bring-up, ARM microprocessor selection and integration, and multiple smaller peripheral configurations and connections. • Performed all top level synthesis duties and worked with our back end vendor to get the chip signed off through the static timing analysis process. • Studied and implemented some of the latest low power design methodologies. • Wrote scripts for design and simulation automation. • Acted as main USB-IF liaison and worked to get prototype through the wireless USB certification process. • Designed engineering validation PCB for our wireless chipset.
