• Worked with current and new Sun customers for the sales of professional services, education and training, hardware and software maintenance contracts. • Duties included face to face as well as phone sales, prospecting for new and add-on business in the education, state and local government, commercial space. • Conducted training classes for Value Added Resellers on Sun products and services, made customer calls with Sun partners to help close the sale and prospect for additional professional services opportunities. • Worked with internal Sun team to keep customers up to date on new technology in the UNIX arena. • Provided lunch and learn sessions with customers, worked closely to insure maintenance coverage on all hardware and software, resolved customer satisfaction issues. • Territory consisted of dot.com companies, small to mid-tier businesses, universities, state and local governments. • Prepared quotes for various services • Assisted in training of new hires.
