Daily Duties at Soil Engineering & Construction:

I conducted basic soil tests prior to the ground coring/drilling process. I assisted in the drilling for the installation of caissons, pilasters and tie-backs. I applied various types of liquid grout where necessary to solidify loose soils prior to drilling. I installed reinforcing steel as described in design details for various types of sea (retaining) walls, erosion control walls and slabs. I supervised coworkers to ensure work was completed in an efficient and timely manner. I assisted in the application of shot crete to structural steel & rebar reinforcing for the construction of sea walls. I performed all necessary tasks in many different soil erosion control methods.
