Developed, implemented and managed HR policies, programs and practices which included the following: employee relations, performance management, compensation, organizational development, training, staffing, compliance, and strategic planning for 750+ employees in two regions, including temporary workers. Key accomplishments included: · Managed performance management processes for projects and personnel, including contribution ratings, salary administration, promotions and performance improvements. · Design and present training and development events covering performance management, leave of absence and other topics. · Captain of I-9 strategic integration team responsible for managing online I-9 process for line of business; ensured 100% compliance for new hires. · Respond to employment claims from Department of Labor; prepare managers and successfully represent company at hearings. Won all hearings due to careful preparation and persistence. · Team leader for Kronos implementation; resulting in successful integration of nearly 1,000 branches to new timekeeping system. · Developed competitive compensation plan to motivate employees in CDL-licensed driver positions; 10% reduction in driver turnover · Member of enterprise team delivering personalized new hire orientation programs across the company; increased participation to 98% · Designed and delivered education program on newly introduced code of conduct guidelines for 90+ managers. · Effectively managed staffing process while balancing corporate objectives with individual career goals. · Organized campaign to unveil 2008 annual enrollment; introduced a new benefits center, process, and benefits. · Facilitated exit interviews with employees from Warehouse to Director level.
