• Responsible for the sale and renewal of Sun Service support contracts for Fortune 1000 accounts, plus small to mid-tier accounts in Georgia. • Assisted Sun major accounts with server consolidation, contract renewals, new purchases, professional services, education and training. • Advise customers on new product offerings, warranty information, etc. • Provide quotes and product updates. • Conduct lunch and learn seminars for new/department transfers at customer sites • Assist with customer inventories, prepare proposals • Worked with legal team on new product offerings for customers • Keep customers advised of changes/additions within the service product portfolio. • Work with hardware and software reps on closing total solution sales to named and general territory customers. • Nominated for global recognition for the sale of the first Time to Restore product in the USA. Enterprise Services Annuity Sales Representative – July 2001 – June 2002 • Worked with current Sun Fortune 1000 customers to renew/upsell existing maintenance contracts for hardware and software. • Contacted current Sun customers with maintenance contracts that have lapsed and resell contracts along with professional services, education and training, negotiate long term contracts with named account customers including all lines of business. • Territory consisted of named and enterprise accounts in GA, TN, FL, NC, SC, AL and MS. • Provide quotes, get purchase orders, close the sale. • Named MVP for second quarter of fiscal year 2002 for $4.46M sale to major airline. • Provide assistance to channel partners/endusers with RFP/RFQ’s • Top performer for fiscal year on local sales team and top 10% of regional sales team. Enterprise Services Sales Representative – January 1998 – June 2001 • Worked with current and new Sun customers for the sales of professional services, education and training, hardware and software maintenance contracts. • Duties included face to face as well as phone sales, prospecting for new and add-on business in the education, state and local government, commercial space. • Conducted training classes for Value Added Resellers on Sun products and services, made customer calls with Sun partners to help close the sale and prospect for additional professional services opportunities. • Worked with internal Sun team to keep customers up to date on new technology in the UNIX arena. • Provided lunch and learn sessions with customers, worked closely to insure maintenance coverage on all hardware and software, resolved customer satisfaction issues. • Territory consisted of dot.com companies, small to mid-tier businesses, universities, state and local governments. • Prepared quotes for various services • Assisted in training of new hires. Software Sales Representative – February 1997 – December 1997 • Contacted current Sun customers throughout the Southeast and Canada for sales of Solaris operating system upgrades and updates via telephone. • Products also included but not limited to developer tools such as C, C++, Java Development Kits, Solstice Backup, PC NetLink for Intel and Solaris, Solstice Network Clients, Sun Performance Workshop, Visual Workshop and compilers. • Worked with internal Sun team and Vale Added Resellers to achieve 110% of quarterly quota. • Consistently in top 10% of sales team.
