Daily Duties at Sienna Architecture:
• Oversaw all aspects of HR and day to day business operations for Portland and Seattle location. • Worked closely with managers and principals on how to effectively coach members of their staff, discuss termination issues and conduct internal investigations. • Coached principals and managers on performance development, employee relations issues and federal and state laws. • Administered all company benefits including leave of absences (FMLA & OFLA). • Responsible for strategic recruiting. Led a recruiting taskforce. Identified core skills and abilities, methods of recruiting, cost and strategy. • Worked directly with senior management and Principals on business strategy, operations and strategic initiatives. • Implemented strategies to increase company communication. Interviewed employees to identify issues, presented issues and solutions to principals, implemented changes to improve communication. This includes company intranet and monthly company meetings. • Ensured compliance with federal and state laws. facilitated process throughout firm. • Developed new company policies as needed to be consistent with changes in Fed and State laws. • Responsible for the entire hiring process from recruiting, screening, interviewing, making offers and orienting employees.
