Daily Duties at Argent Mortgage:
Train and mentor up to 10 underwriters. Assist Region Production Manager with daily attendance, moving staff to cover other positions, forecasting daily workload, work with other regions to complete work loads in company bench marks. Provide assistance to the Region Production Manager with reports, interpretation of guidelines and various functions as needed. Communicate with VPs for underwriting decisions and SVP of Sales on escalated issues. Build relationships with internal and external staff and outside Brokers and Loan Officers. Analyze credit history and income documentation to determine pricing, acceptability, risk and Borrowers ability to re-pay loan. Review Preliminary Title Report for liens, encumbrances, and vesting and plot map. Review loan to company guidelines for product selected and verify accuracy, conditioning for additional items to move loan to doc and funding. Calculate ratios for loan program and restructure if over limits. Communicate with Brokers, Loan Officers, Account Managers, and internal staff to ensure a smooth flow of the loan process.
