Daily Duties at The Road Home:
The Road Home Director of Operations Salt Lake City, UT Responsible for directing the overall operations of serving the homeless in multiple locations that comprising approximately 104,700 square feet of facilities. Fostered a safe environment that is providing hope and refuge. Set long range goals and participated in the Pathway Project. Met with the Board of Directors to report on progress of projects and budget. This facility provides shelter to the homeless in Salt Lake City, Utah. Other duties include personnel management, directing, scheduling, purchasing, contract negotiations, financial management, government grants and preparation of cost estimates. Implementation of OSHA requirements and confirmed compliance to all local and federal laws. Director of the 5 year major reconstruction project of The Road Home, dealing with of all phases of construction and preventative maintenance, budgeting, inspections and ensuring quality control for all facilities. Installed and maintained all equipment: HVAC, Boilers, Vehicles, Emergency Lighting, Cameras, Plumbing, Electrical, and Pneumatics. ? Achieved a unity and close relationship with the community and businesses receiving donations. ? Set initiatives and analyzed performance. Created new goals. ? Successful with vendors and contractors to meet the budget and time. ? Nurtured employees with training to develop the values and skills. ? Dealt daily with the Homeless Population of over 750 residents to resolve concerns and issues. ? Worked on continual major renovations to the shelter. This involved my close scrutiny to every phase of the renovation to assure daily housing to the homeless population. ? Directed development and maintenance of quality assurance for tenant. ? Promote safe environment by implementing Emergency Evacuation Plan, Emergency Kits and a clean, safe refuge. ? Maximize the life span of fixed assets and make recommendations for preventive maintenance. ? Experienced in roofing, sheetrock, mold repair, painting, carpet, fencing, landscaping, sprinkling systems, fixture replacement, Locks
