Daily Duties at Florida Metropolitan University:

While employed as a Federal Work Study tasks and responsibilities varied daily. Business functions such as answering telephones, data entry, planning projects and activities, preparing student flyers and identification cards, and helping students with different services were performed the majority of my employment time. Other tasks such as contacting students with information, updating student records, filing records, organizing work areas and record departments, and updating audit sheets were done mainly on a weekly basis. Helping other employees complete tasks and assisting students with resources and services became the main objective for this position.

The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there. This is especially important when you are relocating; moving dramatically alters your social sphere both inside and outside the workplace.
