Daily Duties at Sun Microsystems:

Managed the contractual relationship with Sun’s distributors, OEMs, licensees and end users for the Western United States and for Western Europe; and for the Networking Business Unit. Also managed the ongoing legal relationship between Sun and its distributors, OEMs, licensees and end user customers. Developed the database management program that tracks all customer contracts throughout Sun. • Developed the first Contracts Playbook for Sun that explained the legal terms commonly used in contracts and their rationale. This book was distributed throughout the legal department and to senior managers and significantly decreased the time spent in contracts negotiation. • Led the negotiating team that drafted, negotiated and successfully closed contracts with a key number of Sun’s major customers (such as General Motors Research Center, Ford Motor Company, Northern Telecom, Southwestern Bell Corporation, Mentor Graphics, Microsoft and others).
