Daily Duties at Schlage Lock Company:

Position reported to Senior Plant Staff management and facilitators for a manufacturing plant of 800 employees. Daily duties included a multitude of tasks and monthly reports with various deadlines, travel arrangements, meeting scheduling/preparation to include minutes, PowerPoint presentations and spreadsheets, preparation of memos, reports, correspondence and miscellaneous information as required. Supervised switchboard operator as well as assistance to other plant coordinators (plant coordinators are dotted line report to me). Position required critical timelines and confidential information, requiring little or no supervision, as well as the ability to make quick decisions when necessary. Assistance in Environmental & Safety department whenever necessary. Executive Assistant Sales/Marketing & New Product Design Engineering Daily assignments included communication with regional sales management, commercial lock sales force, new product engineering manager and staff. Duties included meeting preparations, coordination of regional trade shows for sales staff, budget spreadsheets, data entry for quoting system for three regions, departmental forecasting, vacation tracking, and travel arrangements. Positions required the ability to make quick decisions, as well as the organizational skills required to keep critical projects on time, within budget guidelines, and the flexibility to work between departments with little or no supervision. Position also required travel to assist with tradeshow prep.
