Daily Duties at Perkin Elmer:

Company provides advanced components and subsystem solutions used to improve health care and quality of life. Oversee production schedules, ensure availability of resources critical to production and complete planning based on weekly, monthly and quarterly forecast provided by the Business unit to ensure achievement of WIP turns, cycle time and yield goals. Prepare operational schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meet customer specifications; and execute daily production plan. Recommend revisions or enhancements to schedules, human and monetary resource allocations and production requirements. Department budget development and reporting. Participate in corporate strategic planning process and facilitate strategic planning within department. NPI (new product development) involvement. JIT (just in time) material delivery and continuous cost reduction. Experience in Six Sigma. Maintain compliance with company policies, ISO, FDA VPP, Standard Operating Procedure, Safety standards, and good housekeeping practices. Initiate, recommend and justify costs to purchase new capital equipment
