Daily Duties at Piedmont Ob/Gyn:
Scheduled and rescheduled doctor appointments. I would call each patient the day before their appointment to confirm the time and date of their appointment, if they needed to reschedule I would do so, then I?d check my call if cancellation list to see if the appointment that had just been rescheduled would work for a patient that was on that list if so I would call that patient to see if she would like to come in on that day. Recorded messages for the doctors, nurse and, the office manager. Assisted the different pharmacies that may call in occasionally with a question about a prescription that had been called in by the nurses previously. Set up and maintained patient charts, filed charts, purged charts, sent faxes, and made copies of various patient information. Ordered and maintained office supplies, handled incoming and outgoing mail, entered and verified patient insurance information in the system and, collected payment for office visits and for any past due balances.
