Daily Duties at W R Grace:

Directed the Operations/Data Processing Audit Department and managed operational, financial and DP audits of internal controls for operations, finance, and data centers and systems supporting Grace’s businesses on a world wide basis. · Managed administrative functions and coordinated scope of financial, operational and data processing external audit and internal audit reviews. · Developed integrated audit risk methodology for four audit departments consisting of 57 professional staff members that was Instrumental in identifying and communicating to senior management and the audit committee several significant operations and DP control exposure generic to numerous W.R. Grace units on a worldwide basis. · Provided consulting advisory services to W.R. Grace management in operations (process mapping), finance (working capital, cash flow), systems development, personal computer acquisition and implementation, data security administration, disaster recovery planning and project management planning and execution. · Developed self-assessment methodology for audit customers · Developed comprehensive standard audit programs for in-depth reviews of operations, finance, application systems, data centers, network and communications, data security and disaster contingency planning based on risk analysis and company goals. · Developed Audit Resource Time Management methodology to determine the amount of required audit effort (budget) based on the risk, size, and complexity of operations, systems, business objectives and prior control status of each operating unit in the W.R. Grace universe. · Controlled recruiting, staff training and development, performance evaluation and salary administration. · Launched the introduction of PC-based server technologies to expand data processing resource usage throughout the audit function. Resulted in a measurable improvement in matching audit resources to audit scope and company mission and goals.
