Daily Duties at Lexis Nexis:
* Lead engineer responsible for build out of 2000 square foot of TIER-3 Datacenter used for production, testing, and disaster recovery while working with a geographically dispersed team to help manage and configure equipment in remote datacenter locations. * Responsible for the asset management, maintenance, installation, and Configuration of new hardware, software, and operating systems to include HP blade servers, Sun and HP rack mount servers, SAN and NAS equipment, Network infrastructure and equipment, and cabling. * Created and maintained documentation for environment, followed existing organizational processes and created and modified processes as necessary. Assured compliance with the existing change control procedure to ensure all work was completed correctly and documented thoroughly. * Assisted multiple cross functional matrix directed teams as needed in installation, configuration and maintenance of equipment in an 18000 square foot TIER-3 Datacenter space.
