Daily Duties at Stanford University:

calendar management, make international & domestic travel arrangements, prepare itineraries, submit and track internal requests, prepare & track expense reports / reimbursements, coordinate meetings and group events, catering, track dept budget, attend weekly dept meetings and track action items, work with high-level executives both internally and externally, handle highly-sensitive, confidential information, act as a liaison with facilities in arranging moves and repairs, create and track po’s, requisitions, coordinate HR process to include new hires, terminations, all types of leaves, copying, faxing, typing, filing analytical & alphabetical, mail distribution, purchase office supplies, schedule conference calls, book conference rooms with and without audio/video, catering, track and monitor all safety training, track and edit time cards, monitor vacation and sick leave, distribute petty cash, process new hires, grad students and visitors, allocate office space, plan and manage special projects, binding, memos, minutes, maintain printers create & manage org chart, manage department web site, manage department inventory, and other property, ship/ receiving, liaison to IT department, gather all research material needed at request of physicist, students and visitors from the library, train new assistants.
