Daily Duties at Federal Bureau Of Prisons:

• Insure the security of the largest federal Prison is maintained. • Maintain work schedule for 44 departmental staff, insuring all mandatory post were covered, while insuring all staff were afforded the use of annual leave. Assist department head in maintaining the Departmental budget. • As a member of the Labor Management Relations Board, I advised the Executive Board on pending labor negotiation and issues between management and the Union local. • Ensured Departmental staffing levels were maintained and advised the department head and the HRM department of staffing needs. Reviewed résumé’s and KSA’s of potential new hires and attended local new hire boards. I rated and evaluated potential new hires utilizing agency review and point assessment policy. • Supervised and provided guidance to 44 employees in the department. In addition I meet with subordinates several times during the rating period to discuss employee concerns, goals, progress reviews and the final performance rating. • Attended weekly department head meeting to discuss departmental needs and he concerns with other department heads and the security concerns with the Captain of correctional services.
