Daily Duties at Option One Mortgage:
Started as an underwriter, then got promoted to New Products Account Executive - responsible for soliciting mortgage brokers already signed up with Option One to get them to submit loans under their new Alt-A Program. When business slowed down to a standstill, they felt they really didn't need a separate sales force for these new products and moved them over to the current AE's and my job was being eliminated. Option One was also in a hiring freeze, so I had no choice but to leave the company.

Note that firms "in the public eye" receive a great deal more critical publicity and attention than those operating with more anonymity.
