Daily Duties at City Of Houston Health Department:
Test water samples from various sources for the presence of coliform bacteria. Educate the public on ways to improve the quality of their potable water. Test bottled water, lakes, swimming pools, and various other sources for the presence of total and fecal coliforms. Test milk and dairy products from different sources for the presence of coliform bacteria, freezing point, absence of antibiotic residues, quality of pasteurization, coliform content, and bacterial content. Perform quality control in compliance with federal and state regulatory agencies.
