Daily Duties at Baylor College Of Medicine :
Test organ transplant patients for Epstein Barr Virus. Mammalian Cell Culture. Responsible for the overall quality of all aspects of the operation of the Gene Vector laboratory and the Cell and Molecular therapy Laboratory. Perform quality control testing. Establish and perform patient monitoring testing as designated by protocols to determine safety. Assist in maintenance of Quality Assurance / Quality Control program. Perform equipment qualification and validation. Perform general troubleshooting on laboratory equipment. Ensure that preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment are established and maintained. Perform process validation related to all procedures in the program. Perform internal quality audits. Assist in development and maintenance of standard operating procedures. Develop standard operating procedures for all activities within the program. Ensure that these procedures meet or exceed all relevant state and federal requirements of handling of biological and cellular components and products. Update procedures according to changes in clinical or laboratory practice or regulations. Assist in training sessions related to the needs of the program. Perform other job related duties as assigned.
