Daily Duties at United Blood Services:
Responsible for the development and implementation of the marketing and recruitment strategy for marrow/blood donors and patient advocacy throughout the state of Arizona. Served as UBS campaign director and media consultant to Hispanic/Latino (Spanish and English), Asian-American, American-Indian (nations and tribes) and African-American individuals, community groups and corporate donors. • Successfully recruited more than 10,000 marrow donors within eight months generating over $80,000 in program support and exceeding minority recruitment goals. • Increased the minority donor base as follows: American-Indian 120%, Hispanic/Latino 100%, African-American 104% through successful patient-focused campaigns and initiatives. • Secured over $200,000 in monetary and in-kind donations through the largest and most successful Hispanic/Latino Cross-Cultural and Bilingual Marrow Campaign in Arizona. • Managed 20 (multi-cultural) Marrow Volunteers and supervised 20 subcontracted laboratory employees.
