Daily Duties at Thomson Scientific:
As a Senior Computer Operator I'd pocess automated scheduled batch programs in timely maner. Perform daily and weekly system backups. Monitor system functions from various main consoles. Ensure all online systems, client servers, web pages, LAN/WAN networks, routers and firewalls, and RJE sites are up and active. Operated all peripheral devices i.e tape drives and printers. Assisted system users with problems. Assisted in training new personnel. Filled out all computer operator logs and filed all incident and status reports for management.
