Daily Duties at Lucent Technologies:
As a Payroll Analyst, I assisted in the preparation of a weekly multi-state payroll for over 100,000 employees as needed. My primary responsibility was processing multi-state terminations while the company was downsizing to around 20,000 union and non-union employees. • Reconciled and resolved pay rate issues, benefits deductions, time reporting, under and overpayments. • Worked with internal and external colleagues to research and resolve client problems. • Corresponded with banking institutions and clients to investigate missing funds. • Sorted and routed private, confidential information and documentation within the accounting division of Lucent. • Assisted in receiving payments from vendors in the Accounts Receivable Department, and verified payments sent in were for Lucent Technologies and not AT&T. If payments were for AT&T, called vendor and explained why payments were being returned. • Selected as logistics coordinator for the 1999 Out & Equal Conference in Atlanta, GA.
