Daily Duties at Bayer Pharmaceutical:

Specialty Division Sales Manager Developed and coached a Specialty Division of eight representatives that encompassed from Nashville, TN to the Florida and Alabama Gulf Coast. Responsibilities included managing two different sales forces in the same division for Anti-Infective and Men�s Health product lines. My promotional, developmental and sales coaching of these representatives included hospital and community promotion of intravenous and oral antibiotics, urology promotion of a hormone replacement implant, endocrinology promotion of an anti diabetic agent and launch activity for an erectile dysfunction agent. The physician specialties that promotion efforts focused were in infectious disease, otolaryngology, pulmonology, urology, and endocrinology Bayer Pharmaceutical, West Haven, CT 2000 - 2002 Sales training Specialist/Management Intern 2000 Vice Presidents Vision Team Award for training and maximizing the core vision of the organization 2000 Above and Beyond Award for the Baycol .8 launch Developed and trained representatives and managers within the Bayer National Sales Training Department for Bayer Pharmaceutical and contract sales organizations. Developed and led multiple classes as a primary trainer while maintaining responsibility for development of workshops and implementation of marketing message for the multiple sales forces with in Bayer. I served in a lead role during the launch of multiple products in which my responsibilities included organization and disbursement of training materials and development of meeting agendas as well as working as a liaison for marketing. I Implemented and established a consistent sales area training program for newly hired representatives prior to attending the national Phase I training. Developed enhanced interim education in an improved format for representatives after initial training and before Phase II training to maximize developmental growth and enhance Phase II sales training overall. I developed multiple workshops to enhance representatives understanding and utilization of key sales skills such as working with sales data, objective setting, probing, closing and managed care. Bayer Pharmaceutical, Pensacola, Florida 1997 - 2000 Professional Sales Representative Called upon physicians, hospitals, pharmacies, and other approved distribution channels in a territory encompassing northwest Florida and southern Alabama. Responsibilities included: contacting customers on a regular basis and coordinating my schedule to my counterparts in order to maximize effectiveness and efficiency; promoting and selling Bayer Pharmaceutical products to attain or surpass sales goals, quotas and objectives; completing reports and communicating them to the division sales manager; participating in and maximizing the productivity of special assignments; maintaining and increasing sales; serving as a mentor to a fellow sales representative; and manage a territory assigned budget. In this territory sales were maintained and increased for Avelox and Baycol and were consistently at the top of the division rankings. Total dollar sales and market share for Baycol led the Birmingham division and Cipro maintained a high market share for all dosage strengths. Previous promoted products Cipro HC Otic, Adalat CC and Precose consistently led in total dollar sales.
