WORK HISTORY Dec 2005-Present Production Manager S&S Graphics Laurel, MD · Research and formulate viable manufacturing schedules for the production of all customer print requirements within the company. · Ensure manpower is in place to support the various production processes. · Continually monitor production phases to maintain production costs, increase process accuracy, and improve overall awareness of production staff to meet production and financial goals. · Coordinate through various communication channels with management and account representatives regarding job completion status. · Ensure all jobs are completed not only to meet the customer’s delivery schedules, but within the budgetary framework allotted for each job. Feb 2005-Dec 2005 Shipping Manager S&S Graphics Laurel, MD · Managed and developed a streamlined approach to the shipping and receiving department, which resulted in meeting and exceeding the customer’s individual delivery expectations. · Systematically reduced transportation related costs, which led to substantial logistics cost savings for the customer and the company. · Developed and initiated an external packaging protection requirement, which resulted in zero outgoing product damage claims and ensured the customer received their product in a timely manner without negative effects from product shipping methods. · Communicated with company management to coordinate with production employees to ensure the transportation delivery schedules were met. Aug 2000-Feb 2005 Purchasing and Warehouse Specialist S&S Graphics Laurel, MD · Purchased and oversaw the financial and logistic requirements within the company including paper stock purchasing needs. · Controlled stock costs relating to job production by negotiating and researching specific paper requirements with various paper suppliers and paper mills. · Initiated a system for controlling paper stock overages within the warehousing system.
