Daily Duties at Silicon Mountain Memory:

Performing daily maintenance and new development on corporate databases. Performing weekly database builds and maintenance tasks. Extensive work with VBA and SQL. MS SQL Server Administration including setting up replication and log shipping. Writing and modifying stored procedures and triggers. Working mostly with MS Access 97 & MS SQL 2000, some work with MS Access 2000. Creating user's manuals for new modules and documenting technical aspects of new modules. Wrote procedures to perform catalog updates from the main corporate database to the eCommerce database. Wrote procedures to import and transform data from Excel spreadsheets into the main corporate database. Quickly learned the inner workings of a custom built Order Automation system, expanded the functionality and finished uncompleted functionality of the system. Enhanced corporate databases by adding an error handling system, making key pieces data driven rather than hard coded, streamlining processes, and built in flexibility in the event of a disaster recovery scenario.
