• Taught myself how to use Altium P-cad for PCB design. (Multi-layer, high temperature boards for harsh environments (down-hole logging tools). Incuded building parts models for the P-Cad Library Executive as well as PCB layout, and creating gerber files and sending them to the board manufacturer. • Attained IPC A 610C Class III Certification – HMP Solder and Re-work of Electrical Interconnections • Proficient in soldering SMT and through-hole components with high temp and low temp solder (SN63, SN96, HMP, and Gold solder). • Proficient in wiring logging tools for high shock, vibration and hi temperature applications. • Responsible for working with engineers in planning projects, and estimating time frame of completion of manufacturing. • In charge of the inventory department and responsible for keeping MRP software up to date with inventory on hand in inventory room. • Dealt with outside vendors to acquire necessary materials, parts, components and services to complete prototypes, and production assemblies. • Taught myself how to read schematics, wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings and how to draw schematics and mechanical drawings for production using drafting software. • Proficient in use of general lab instruments: oscilloscopes, impedance and spectrum analyzers, multi-meters for testing and troubleshooting • Assembled PCB’s, as well as mechanical assemblies and test boxes. • Built test fixtures for use in lab for testing production units. • Performed testing and calibration of production units as well as quality control and inspection. • In charge of day to day IT needs and weekly backups of information servers on the computer network. • Worked with programs: P-Cad 2001, P-Cad 2002, CVI, Visio Professional, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Windows Internet Explorer, Outlook, and Outlook Express. • Worked with Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000 Server and 2000 Workstation , Windows XP
