Daily Duties at Usda Natural Resources Conservation Service:

Manage Office; Service Farm Bill Program applications; Prepare and manage multiple contracts in multiple programs to assist farmers in applying conservation practices on the farm; Process farm program cost sharing payments; Provide a variety of soil and resource related information to consultants, units of government and the public; meet monthly with 2 conservation district boards to report ongoing conservation activities and make recommendations; Survey, design and layout a variety of conservation practices with landowners; carry out construction inspection to certify conservation practices; prepare conservation plans with detailed resource information including but not limited to soils data, grazing plans for forage, plan of crop rotations, forest land improvement, wildife habitat installation and/or improvement.
