Daily Duties at Morris Communications Corporation:
Maintained 15 HP-UX servers, 10 RedHat Linux 6.2 servers, and 20 Windows NT servers. Mentored Assistant System Administrators. Designed and implemented a backup strategy for all corporate servers and desktops. Monitored and tuned the performance of several Apache and iPlanet web servers for peak performance. Participated in 24 x 7 support for corporate customers. Designed and implemented an automated statistical analysis system of traffic for all corporate websites. Configured an image server running an Oracle 8i database, ImageMagick, and GhostScript for use by over 1000 corporate websites. Coordinated with other team members in order to design, implement and maintain a full rollout of Hewlett-Packards MC ServiceGuard and a Hewlett-Packard Fibre Array for redundancy. Managed a migration of over 500 websites from HP-UX to RedHat Linux 6.2. Designed and implemented automated monitoring system for all corporate traffic on the WAN
