Daily Duties at Better Built Media The Daily Commercial:
Designed, produced and edited advertising campaigns, marketing promotions and monthly specialty publications for the in-house advertising department of a daily newspaper. I coordinated production and quality control between the advertising, editorial, prepress and printing departments. Accomplishments.....Directed and trained graphic artists and production staff in the layout and design of copy & graphics. I also trained the news and editorial staff to use a Macintosh based editorial/pagination system which turned the daily publication from a manual/paste-up production to an electronically produced daily publication saving thousands annually in overhead. Assisted in the design, implementation & maintenance of the Mac based production network which included 3 imagesetters (with RIPs), 2 flatbed scanners, slide scanner, leaf desk, 8 laser printers and 35 Macintosh desktop workstations.
