Daily Duties at Us Navy:

While enlisted in the Navy I had many responsibilities regarding the installation, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of sophisticated satellite guided navigation, laser gyroscopes and communication systems. I was in charge of a team of technicians responsible for troubleshooting using circuit and wiring diagrams, flow charts and engineering instructions coupled with the use of sophisticated diagnostic equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic computers to solve complex problems. I trained end users on proper equipment casualty response procedures, equipment operation and maintenance. I was required to utilize excellent interpersonal communication skills to relay information to end users and up the chain of command. I was responsible for working closely with other teams and the ship’s Captain to ensure all equipment was interfacing properly to receive a passing grade on the Navy’s Pre-Deployment Navigation Certification and Weapons Readiness test.

What they like about Us Navy:

The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there. This is especially important when you are relocating; moving dramatically alters your social sphere both inside and outside the workplace.
