Daily Duties at Dell Inc. :
?Oversee and lead staff of 30 in receiving and shipping of computer hardware from carriers to clients. ?Provide staff’s needs and ensure personnel development. ?Inspect the quality of products made and guarantee budget constraints are met. ?Coordinate process development and ensure implementation in all shifts and businesses. ?Perform senior level responsibilities while supervising staff in warranty returns. ?Handle business controls layered audits and receiving audits, usually done by finance team. ?Managed 2 shifts responsible for material packaging for shipment. ?Resolved logistics issues of Dell materials through conducting weekly overseas conference calls. ?Brought substantial development in the International department in terms of productivity, quality, and cost per shipment of Dell material being shipped overseas. ?Maintained communication with internal and outside clients that resulted in exceeding goals for FY07 through cost per box, quality initiatives and safety. ?Implemented Yellow Belt Business Process Improvement project that resulted in a hard cost savings of $25, 000 by value stream mapping international department processes.
