Daily Duties at Sears Holding Company:
Responsibilities •Managed 16-28 people without direct supervision •Monitored shipments for on time customer delivery •Supervised associates to ensure all loads are quality loads leaving the DC to be delivered to the stores •Ensured merchandise is stored, retrieved, processed and maintained in an efficient, accurate and timely manner and ensure hourly associates are provided proper procedures and training •Created and managed batch scheduling, personnel resources, and transportation dispatch •Responsible to manage production in lieu of overtime, absenteeism, and machinery •Forecast for both shifts and plan the hours to reach the departmental, plant, and company operational and financial goals •Coach associates on performance and development opportunities Achievements •Compute and maintain daily KPI information for all Shipping and Non-Conveyable cost metrics in the Regional and Newnan databases •Track issues of batch closing times and report to Assistant General Manager •Drive the business by hitting the metrics for Non-Conveyable and Shipping •Assign work and monitor productivity to ensure high standards of quality, accuracy, housekeeping, merchandise damage are minimal and the area is safe and clean •Investigate errors in order to determine the root cause and coach associates and taking disciplinary action when necessary
