Daily Duties at Newfield School :
Student-Teacher •Motivated twenty-one diverse students in kindergarten through enthusiastic teaching and creative lessons using manipulatives and unique materials. •Referred to the Responsive Classroom Approach and encouraged student participation by creating a supportive and caring classroom environment. •Developed daily lesson plans and teaching materials which reflected on The Connecticut Common Core of Teaching Competencies. •Conducted small-group and whole-group lessons in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics and worked with students individually. •Developed a positive relationship with students, professional staff, paraprofessional staff, and parents. •Worked cooperatively and collaboratively with my cooperating-teacher and the other kindergarten teachers during grade level meetings. Graduate Intern •Taught, assisted, and observed K -5 students in all content areas. •Supervised and assisted two second grade students with special needs on a one-on-one basis. •Carried out individual teaching responsibilities on a weekly basis.
