Daily Duties at Straight Source/Kenexa:
Discovery Specialist • Initiate the recruitment process by speaking with the hiring manager to collect details for each open requisition, articulating those requirements in easy to understand language, and forwarding those specific requirements to the Generation/Screening team members • Consult and educate hiring managers on a variety of subjects including salary, market conditions, EEOC and OFCCP compliance, as well client specific recruitment best practices • Create prescreening questionnaire to assist in identifying qualified applicants quickly and accurately • Ensure requisitions contain the correct approvals and meet quality control standards Candidate Sourcing Specialist • Managed sourcing activity for approximately 75-80 open requisitions – sourcing, screening, presenting and closing qualified, suitable applicants for IT positions across the US • Identified qualified candidates through data mining, direct cold-call sourcing, collecting referrals, and thorough review of retail candidates • Always a top producer; successfully achieved extra PTO through a production contest weighted to reward consistently high levels of production with every Friday off for a month
