Daily Duties at Fortis Long Term Care:
Created new “direct-to-consumer” model for long-term care insurance product and service for company that is small subsidiary of $200 million Fortis Corporation. Goal was to reduce reliance on small group of independent agents that charged large commissions for selling products. Built matrix team that established and tested pilot operations within 3-month period. Negotiated with contact centers that had licensed long-term care agents to provide inbound and outbound capabilities. Collaborated with outsourced fulfillment centers to determine what materials would be sent out and when. Provided direction to ad agency on multimedia approach to use in increasing awareness and building call-to-action campaign. Chose pilot market to complete test and worked with regional vice president on best way to engage company’s network of independent agents when needed. Assembled cross-functional teams to ensure system was able to track and configure to unique, streamlined process.
