Daily Duties at Rocknel Fastener Inc.:
I performed in process audits, and capability studies, receiving inspections, in process, and final inspections. Duties included filing data, monitoring gage control, and calibration. Conferring with associates as needed to identify quality issues and solutions. I participated in corrective action meetings and internal quality audits, to maintain quality standards. I worked independently most of the time, and reported to the Quality Assurance Manager. I worked with the following departments on a regular basis, engineering, receiving, heading, threading, cnc�s, heat treat, plating, sorting, and shipping. I used many computer programs while performing the above mentioned duties. I used many different machines and tools to do my duties. Just to name a few, optical comparator, con tracer, universal tester, rock well tester, profilameter, thickness tester. Tools used in doing my duties; include tri-roller, dial indicator, torque wrench, micrometers, and calipers, dial indicators, thread gages. Achievements include a good quality record, 5-S principle-a place for everything and everything in its place, SDS training - Supplier development program, Kaizen training, ISO-9001: 2002 registered, ISO 14001 and ISO/TS 16949:2002 training. I was responsible for making sure the parts Rocknel Fastener made, met or exceeded their customer expectations.
