Daily Duties at City Of Miami Beach:
Collective bargaining with the current five bargaining units. While trying to equitably resolve employee issues and concerns prior to grievance through the Labor Management Process. Division was responsible for all Labor Relations for the City, including collective bargaining for all five bargaining units, all grievance procedures for the City, assisting employees and management with conflict resolution, and providing the opportunities explore innovative and cooperative joint approaches to organizational effectiveness. Reported to the Executive Assistant to the City Manager/Labor Relations/Human Resources & Risk Management. ? Primary note-taker and drafter of contract language for all five unions' collective bargaining sessions. ? Prepared all Labor Relations Commission memoranda, ordinances, resolutions, grievances, settlement agreements and arbitration documents. ? Attended various Labor Management Trainings. ? Scheduled all pertinent union related meetings and negotiation sessions. ? Labor Relations confidential records custodian. ? Assisted with grievance investigations.
