Daily Duties at Burns And Roe:

Direct a staff of 6 vendor document administrators. Facilitate and expedite the flow of materials to and from various vendors and sites. Perform Expediting visits to secure prompt delivery of Purchase Order. Direct contact with vendors to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of goods to appropriate locations and upon delivery verify delivered goods match order specifications. Solicitation of new vendors, and responsible for sending out Request for Quote (RFQ) to obtain vendor quotes and awarding contracts to vendors and subcontractors. Handle any delivery inconsistencies or delays which may affect the construction schedule. Create and distribute daily and weekly reports. Train new employees and coordinate distribution of daily work. Monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with all technical specifications and contractual requirements. Major Contributor to cost savings program through effective negotiation and "hands-on" approach to procurement. Assisted in the creation of a new database for Document Control.
