Daily Duties at Healthcare Services Group:

I was responsible for the housekeeping and laundry department in a 150-bed nursing home. Providing leadership and guidance to the team and creating a positive working environment. Preparing budgets for the on-site Laundry and Housekeeping Departments, reviewing accounts financial results and comparing them to budgets, and investigating/correcting any discrepancies. Implementing a continuous workflow process, which improves employee’s morale, establishes clear expectations, and inspires innovation through process. This was done through setting standards, education, recognition, and monitoring standards that have been put in place. Implementing on-going Quality Management Programs in all facilities, for evaluating and monitoring the services provided, to ensure that the accreditation standards, as well as standard policies and procedures were maintained. Consulted with the Human Resources Department regarding any employee issues of the following nature: union grievances, collective agreement interpretation, resignation, employment postings, and discipline. Participating and attending committee meetings including but not limited to the following safety, patient-nurse management teams, facility management, and risk management.
