Daily Duties at Uft:
Responsible for all Data COM activities, including cabling plans and diagrams for 20 TR rooms along with the NOC room in the Data Center and 4 Boro-remote offices. Maintained all server racks, patch panels, cabling infrastructure for the whole organization, including telecommunications equipment, Cisco Routers, HP, IBM, Dell and Compaq servers, KVM switches, AS/400 I-Series. Served as a lead technical advisor in the identification and analysis of problems, developing and implementing solutions related to LAN and WAN engineering. Worked on projects requiring expertise in LAN and WAN software and hardware and engineering methods and techniques, including the relocation of the main office headquarters and 4 remote offices as well as the entire design and cabling of the whole network infrastructure at the new location Served as the senior technical specialist assisting both technicians and computer users. Train technicians in the use of SMS 2.0 to take remote control of PCs to solved technical problems, support the operating systems, applications and data integrity. Served as a level 3 senior technician in the Desktop Support group, responsible for performing a wide range of computer support activities for the effective operation and maintenance of a Windows NT, Server 2002, 2003, Linux server 9.0, AS/400 I series and several file servers and workstations including Windows XP and 98 desktop based computer systems. This includes the acquisition, installation, upgrade, preventive maintenance and repairs of the hardware, software and peripherals, as well as HP network and plotter printers.
