Daily Duties at Fed Ex:
¤ Advised management and employees on handling performance/employee relations issues. ¤ Traveled 40% of the time to provide support to teams in Europe, Mid East and India. ¤ New Country Launch - FedEx launched direct operations in India in 1997. Ensured that all Human Capital challenges of this major project were successfully met. o Participated with senior management in Organizational Design for new country operations resulting in Organization Structure suited to local culture and business requirements. o Hired 120+ employees in 4 different cities within target time frame of 4 months. Coordinated, scheduled and participated in interviews with multiple hiring teams from US, Europe and Mid East for 18 departments with 100% hiring completed on schedule. o Wrote Country specific HR policy manual for India. o Trained newly hired managers in Management Applied Personnel Skills (MAPS). o Received Awards- from VP (Ops), VP (Personnel) and MD (Sales). ¤ Employee Relations - Region achieved the best scores amongst all of the EMEA countries. ¤ Compliance - Maintained 100% compliance with state and federal employment, compensation and immigration laws during 6 year tenure. ¤ HRIS System - Implemented functional roll-out of PeopleSoft HRIS system replacing CRT based mainframe system. Generated and presented metrics based reports to Management to review progress. ¤ Quality Award - HR submission (multiple page quality input) for the Dubai Quality Award. FedEx won the award twice during my tenure.
