Managed short and long-term disability plans, Life Insurance and Worker’s Compensation * Enrolled and terminated employees in health benefit programs to ensure timely insurance coverage. * Paid monthly insurance bills and reconciled with payroll to guarantee exact payment and billed COBRA participants to recoup premium to the firm * Administered TransitChek/MetroChek Program * Designed PowerPoint presentations to explain benefits during orientations. * Preformed exit Interviews to collect any final monies due to the firm and any forwarding personal information * Trained temporary and permanent staff in the benefits department * Implemented conversion from a DOS Humanic system to Windows Ceridian 550 HRIS system to be more efficient in reporting benefit reports. Created rates, plans and eligibility tables * Set up Flexible Spending Account - Child Care and Medical Reimbursement on Ceridian * Enrolled employees in 401(k) Savings Plan and Retirement Plan. Prepared year-end distribution of Summary Plan Descriptions and Summary Annual Reports. Obtained pertinent information from insurance carriers for 401(k) audit & 5500’s to comply with ERISA laws
