Daily Duties at Tru Serv Corporation (True Value):
Write and maintain custom database applications. Upgrade and maintain all desktop computers, printers, modems, scanners, and other peripheral devices. Train employees in the use of computer applications and systems. Knowledgeable using the AS/400 system and the RISC/6000 computer. Assist in the maintenance and upgrade of the RISC/6000 and AS400 computers. Initiated money-saving procedures for the data center by improving efficiency and methods. Monitor all computer systems for performance. Ensured daily back-ups were performed in a correct and timely fashion. Maintained physical network system in a 1million square foot facility. Maintain wireless bar code scanning system.
