Daily Duties at Engineering And Drafting Services:
Handle permitting issues/rejections with multiple government entities and/or third party examination entities to ensure approval of drawing submittals by Divisions. Provide structural design and calculations for beams, shear walls, columns and footings in accordance with ACI, ASCE, NDS, FBC and IBC requirements. Analysis software utilized: EnerCalc, Mitek and FastBeam. Support Operations by designing creative corrective actions for various repairs and field issues. Developed, Implemented, and Instituted the Engineering Service Request which resulted in reduced cycle time and accelerated engineering productivity. Assist Construction Analyst with developing details, using AutoCAD 2007, for complex designs and new product. Assist with reviewing documents for constructability and ensuring code compliance. Assist Corporate Architect with development of an internal design review process for new product.
