Daily Duties at Samsonite Corporation:
Working from Global Headquarters in Belgium, currently leading the project in the European Region to expand the Diversification Categories of Personal Goods (wallets, belts, gloves, umbrellas, travel accessories, ladies bags, etc...) and Leather Business Cases under the Samsonite brand. Responsibilities include pricing, budgeting, product and business plan preparation, development and presentation of POS materials including consumer and trade catalogues. I present to both trade partners and our own pan-European sales teams, motivating them to succeed as well as gathering trade and sales information to feed back into the product development process. Accomplishments: I developed and implemented a marketing plan in three languages (French, Spanish, English), including specific local actions tailored to market needs. These included special product and brand displays to create brand projection and aid the consumer at the point of sale. Results achieved: Net Sales: +30% above plan, Gross Margin: +61%, Sku reduction: -15%, Stock reduction: -12%.
