Daily Duties at Turner Industries Group, L.L.C. :
- Assemble, analyze defects in, and repair boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and vats in field, follow blueprints and use hand tools and portable power tools and equipment: Locate and mark reference points for columns or plates on foundation. - Work experience on piping and valves. - Have the ability to read blueprints and to locate the specific area in the blueprint in the work site or work area. - develop a layout design/pattern and plan the sequence of work to be performed - lay-out plate, sheet steel or other heavy metal, locate and mark, bend and cut lines - shape metal using metalworking machines such as shears, drill presses, cutting metal plate and brackets using a flame torch, and chipping and grinding parts to shape or fit - testing finished boilers for leaks and other defects - work at heights around potentially dangerous heavy equipment - communicating effectively with co-workers and other contractors and supervisors - working independently or as a member of a team on a variety of different projects and tasks
