Daily Duties at City Of Houston/ Has:

• Supervising of forty employees, seventeen at a time. • Trained and experienced in Behavior Pattern Recognition (BPR). • Enforcing TSA FAR’s, Federal, State, and Airport security rules and regulations. • Monitoring of the aircraft operation areas, concourses, main terminals, and tug tunnels • Resolving conflicts between airport tenants, staff and the general public. • Assuring gate alarms, securing doors are performed, and being observant of any unattended bags and boxes. • Implementing daily roll call, researching information pertinent for dissemination. • Supporting in the badge challenges, verification for accuracy and policy enforcement. • Provide assistance in any disturbances or medical needs. • Analyze and generate data, and prepare written and /or oral incident reports. • Responsible for daily rotation scheduling, special accommodations for holidays and assignments of overtime. Approval of vacation and differed holidays as well as other city holidays. • Conducting personnel interviews and selection process. • Writing of employees performance evaluations, verbal and /or written counseling. • Investigating and decision making on daily security issues. Issuing citations to non-complying customers. • Assisting in the implementation of heightened security measures during elevated national security levels. • Providing and overseeing security at Hobby and Ellington for special events. Special assignments as assigned by our Airport Security Coordinator and Manager. Providing Security at all Ellington Air Shows. • Recipient of the United States Department of Defense medals for “Service beyond the call of duty” during the travel of visiting one star and two star Generals with the United States Military at Hobby Airport. • Also the recipient of the United States Department of Defense medal for “War on Terrorism”
